Surmmer Learning Journey ( week 2 day 5)

HUMANITARIAN HEROES

Hi Friends today I'm going to talk about Emergency Services. Emergency Services help people in New Zealand and around the world. Sometimes they have to risk their lives to help others. Here is some Emergency Services.
Fire ServicePolice ForceAmbulance ServiceSearch and RescueAir AmbulanceCivil DefenceCoast Guard and Surf Lifesaving.  In Australia, Fire Services are currently fighting more than 150 wildfires burning in New South Wales. It is a very dangerous time for the men and women fighting these fires in Australia and a very scary time for the people who live close to the fires. Now I'm going to do some facts about Emergency Services.

1. In 1958, the first national training school for firefighters was established.

2. On 29 September 1958, the first 111 emergency telephone service was introduced

Those were the facts I know about Emergency Services. Now I'm going to do something from the SLJ they told me to do is brainstorm five ways we could help the people who are affected by the fires in New South Wales. You could think of ways to raise money, things to send them, or ways to keep them feeling positive. Here is mine

Thank you for reading my blog post.

  1. Tēnā koe Izumi,

Thanks for posting about what could be done to help the people in Australia dealing with the big fires. I thought your ideas were really thoughtful and kind and I like how you presented your ideas on a slideshow. The devastation happening in Australia at the moment is heartbreaking, isn't it. I hope they get some rain really soon!

Thanks for posting, keep up the awesome mahi!
    Eliza :)
