Surmmer Learning Journey ( week 2 day 4 A3)

Wise Words

Hi Friends to day I'm going to talk about Sir Āpirana Ngata and Dame Whina Cooper. Sir Āpirana Ngata was a lawyer and politician. He worked hard for many years to improve life for Māori people.Dame Whina Cooper worked on improving health, education, housing and welfare for Māori women. She led the Māori land hikoi (march) from Northland to Wellington to protest against the loss of Māori land. Now I'm going to do some facts about Sir Apirana Ngata and Dama Whina Cooper.

1. Sir Apirana Ngata was born in 3 July in 1874.

2.  Dame Whina Cooper was born in 9 December 1895.

3. Both of these people are examples of wise, inspiring leaders and role models.

Those were the facts I know about Sir Āpirana Ngata and Dame Whina Cooper. Now I'm going to do something from the SLJ told me to do is was think of someone in your life who is a role model to you. This could be a parent, grandparent, neighbour, minister, imam, rabbi etc. Please ask them to share one piece of wisdom (advice) with you. This is mine.

My role models are my friends cause when I got a problem they help and they also they help me with me work so they are my role models.

Thank you for reading my blog post.
Bye by Izumi.
