Gumboot Friday!

On Tuesday we wore gumboots because we wanted to help  raise money for the gumboot Friday. It’s a day to give some money for the mental health. We had the idea to write cards but it was a student in our school that came up with the idea to post it in letter boxes. So we made some cards for people. We made lots

and lots of cards. We walked to houses around our school and I think It was nice to make cards to other people our topic for the year is wellbeing - Haura.

Molly Green Day in 2019

Molly Green Day in 2019

Hello every on 13th of march we went to molly green park and my friend came on the same time and her name is Aamena. We saw some tents in the park. It was fun activities. There was our school tent and there was fresh Kawakawa balm and Beeswax Wraps. Aamena want to play on the playground I wanted to go to the face paint and I went to the face paint but Aamena is not alone because her cousin came to see her and her name was Momana and she play with her. When I finish my face paint then I play with Momana and Aamena and my friend and her cousin went to the bouncy castle and I joint with them and I went home.

Christchurch Special Assembly

Christchurch Special Assembly

Hello everyone. On the 18th March, had a special assembly at school for Christchurch. All of the classes made cards for the hospital, police, school and mosques. We sent them to the places.  Some of the teacher's wore scarves to show respect. We also planted a Kowhai tree. Some children from our school, put soil around the kowhai tree and we put our cards on the kowhai tree too. We had a 1 minute silence and the last thing we did at the special assembly was sing Aotearoa.

Welcome to 2019

Hello every one my name is Izumi.. I hope you have wonderful holiday and I move to Te Waka Ako. My class is Manukau and the other two class are Waitemata and Hauraki and our teachers are Mrs Jones is in Mankau, Miss Daly in Waitemata in Hauraki is Miss McGrath.
