Life in Lockdown

Life in Lockdown.

Hi guys I hope you are all right as you know that we are in  lockdown. As you know I'm going to share what I did in lockdown, I actually did lots of stuff in lockdown but I'm only going to share two things what I did in lockdown. The first thing I did was tring to do calligraphy letters and 3D letters.

I thought calligraphy was going to be fun and it was fun but it was little bit hard and 3D letter was my favourite one actually because you just need to outline the letter and it was a really easy one. The second thing I did on lockdown was to poetry. I had so much fun when I did poety. That what I did in lockdown.

Stay safe Bye.

Here is some phots what I did in lockdown. ↡

  1. Hi Izumi,
You've been very creative today. I love the fact you are writing poems and making 3d letters. Who's in your bubble? In mine, we have: Josie, Travis, and my parents, Sally and Ieremia. Those little messages you wrote look stunning! You have definately inspired me to write and draw more often.

That was a lovely blog post, Izumi. If you want to check out my blog post, go to https://wpsraeln.blogspot.com/
    Have a great day, Bye!

  2. Kia ora Izumi, thanks for sharing! I like that you carried on with these tasks even though you found them hard. I've been trying to write a poem every day and share them in some different ways. Maybe you could share one of your poems? Or even a video of you reading it?

  5. Heya Izumi great to see you so productive during the lockdown. I love Calligraphy and had a very experienced lady teach me for 6 months when I was in my 20's to draw and paint words. She was retired but her job for 40 years was to paint every sign that the supermarkets used to advertise prices. No computers or printers in her day so she could paint words and prices really fast and beautifully. Keep up the fabulous work Izumi.

  6. It's great to see you sharing your lock down experience with us Izumi. I would really like to be able to read your poetry more clearly, or even hear you read it - is this something you could do through your blog? I can see a theme in your poetry samples, they seem to be following the same poetry style - am I right? Perhaps you could explore different structures of poetry next.
Your blog is a good way of connecting with people - I didn't know Ms Sands had studied calligraphy, and I probably would never have known if you hadn't posted about your own experience. I have been challenging myself this holiday, to improve my accordion playing. I sent a video to my mum and one of my brothers earlier today because they are in England and never get to hear me play.
Next week, we'll have learning tasks loaded on to the class site - I'll look forward to seeing what learning you are completing. Remember to stay active on your blog.

  7. You're having a very productive time during lockdown Izumi. I'm very impressed by the number of poems you have written and your calligraphy practice is paying off. You'll be able to put those skills to use next time we need posters made to advertise school activities. I hope you are enjoying the daily meetings with your class at the moment.

  9. Hi Izumi, calligraphy and 3D lettering are good skills to learn. Practicing them will help you to become confident. Thank you for sharing photos of them. I went to calligraphy classes at a community centre and learned to do it. I really enjoyed it and looked forward to each lesson when we would develop our skills. I had to practice lots and lots to get my lettering right. Have you learned how to form all the letters?
As term two starts I hope you enjoy your learning from home. I'd love to see some posts about the work you are doing.
Stay safe and well in your bubble and we will see you when we are all back at school.
