HAUORA
Hi guys today I'm going to talk about Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie. Florence Nightingale trained as a nurse was sent to Turkey during the Crimean War to look after wounded soldiers. The hospitals were very dirty so she spent money to clean them up. She saved many lives.Marie Curie was a scientist who conducted many experiments. She discovered new chemicals and new uses for x-ray. She earned two Nobel Prizes for her work. Now I'm going to do some facts about Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie.
1.Florence Nightingale was born in 1820 in England.
2.Marie Curie was born in Poland in 1867.
3. Florence Nightingale was fluented in English, French, German, and Italian.
Those are some facts about Florence Nightingale and Marie Curie.
Now I'm going to do something that the SLJ told me to do is to tell us who you would give a Nobel Prize to and why. Here is mine.
I think it should be Greta Thunberg because she was trying to help the climate change. So that's why I chose Greta Thunberg.
Thank you for reading my blog post.
Bye by Izumi.

Mālō e Lelei Izumi,
ReplyDeleteTino pai on a great post this morning about who you would want to award a Nobel prize to and why. I think it really awesome that you have chosen someone who you think is important and who deserves it.
I really like that you have chosen Greta Thunberg, she has done such amazing work & how cool is it that you’ve learned a little bit about her while doing the Summer Learning Journey back in Week 2.
What inspired you to choose Greta for your Nobel prize?
