Swimming to Safety

Hi Friends today I'm going to talk about Yusra Mardini. She is a teenage girl who was born in Syria. She left in 2015 to get away from the war in Syria, She also became a refugee.She left Syria in a boat,when the engine on the boat broken down , Yusra helped to save the lives of 20 peoples.In 2016 she part of the Refugee Olympic Team. She is competitve swimmer. Now I'm going to do some facts about Yusra Mardini.

1.Yusra Mardini was born in 5 March , 1998.

2. Yusra Mardini have 1 siblings ( Sarah Mardini)

3. Now she is living in Germany.

Those are the facts I know about Yusra Mardini. Now I'm going to do something that the SLJ told me to do is to retell the story of the brave women ( Yusra Mardini) in siria. In the story it say that a year later, Yusra’s courage, determination with strong swimming skills were recognized by the International Olympic Committee and became a member of the first ever Refugee Olympic Team. She competed at the Olympic Games in Rio in 2016, helping to represent 65 million displaced people worldwide.
That was little part of the story that I have to retell you guys hope you like my blog post. Thank you for reading my blog.

    Thanks for posting about Yusra Mardini, she is an incredibly brave young woman isn’t she! Did you know anything about her before you did this activity? It’s amazing how some people can experience so much scary and harmful stuff in their life but still succeed, and therefore be inspirational to others.
