Kia Ora today I did Summer Learning Journey and it was fun
The Maori name of New Zealand is Aotearoa which means the land of the long white cloud.
Dairy farmers produce a whopping 100 kg of butter and 65 kg of cheese each year for each person living in New Zealand.
There are no snakes in the country!
Morena Izumi,
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and congratulations on completing your very first activity on the Summer Learning Journey this year. I am so excited to see so many of the students Waikowhai kick-starting their journey.
You have shared three very interesting facts about New Zealand. I find it amazing that the dairy farms here in New Zealand produce 100kg of butter per person. This means that they will produce about 450 million kilograms of butter every year. Isn't that fascinating! However, all this butter does not stay in New Zealand. Do you know who New Zealand sells the butter to?
It’s awesome to see that you have included some great information about Aotearoa. Please remember that when you find information online you must put it into your own words. For future posts, please make sure any information you use is paraphrased (written in your own words) to make sure you receive full points for activities.
I cannot wait to read more incredible posts from you over the summer.
Kindest regards,
Megan :)
